Write, Edit, Repeat: The Process of Writing

Have you ever daydreamed about writing a novel?

Do you wonder what a day in the life of a writer is like? The City of Perth Library invites all budding wordsmiths and part-time scribblers to come along to this interactive talk by well-known author, Annabel Smith.

This session is for all writers, at any stage in their career or anyone with an interest in putting the proverbial pen to paper.

Annabel will provide tips on various aspects of writing, including:

  • Where to find inspiration.

  • How to get started.

  • To plan or not to plan?

  • Self-editing and feedback.

  • Seeking publication and self-publishing.

About Annabel Smith

Annabel Smith is the author of bestselling novel Whisky Charlie Foxtrot, and A New Map of the Universe, which was shortlisted for the WA Premier’s Book Awards. She is also the creator of interactive app/digital novel The Ark. She holds a PhD in Creative Writing and has delivered workshops and talks at regional, national and international festivals, as well as more than 20 regional and metropolitan libraries.
