Winter Film Club - Submarine

Join us for the second film in our Winter Film Club with resident film buff Tristan Fidler.

Warm up with a screening of Submarine (2010) and post-film discussion. Films provided by Kanopy.

Submarine (2010) director Richard Ayoade

This coming-of-age comedy-drama introduces us to Oliver, an unpopular 15-year-old Welsh teen with things on his mind. First is losing his virginity before his 16th birthday as he sets out to woo his feisty classmate, Jordana. Then Oliver focuses on holding his family together. His father Lloyd, a depressed marine biologist seems unable to prevent Oliver’s mother Jill from succumbing to the dubious charms of a spiritual guru from down the road.
