Western Australia ADHD Conference
Research shows that Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) effects about one in twenty Australians.
With more information and research to hand it is becoming easier to recognise and diagnose kids and adults. However, this doesn’t detract from the post diagnosis fog of knowing where to turn for help and support and how to navigate life as a neurodivergent.
The Conference will be a highly valuable and informative day for parents, educators, professionals, family members and friends of an individual with ADHD or suspected ADHD.
“This conference is the first of its kind in WA and is already receiving positive feedback from the public following success in Victoria and Queensland. It is suitable for anyone with an interest in ADHD. The fantastic line up of guest speakers will help with many different strategies, information and topics surrounding ADHD as well as exhibitors,” says Ms Perkins.
This much awaited event is not only the first ever in Western Australia but the biggest event of its kind in Australia. It is also the first conference that is run by neurodivergent people.
The six expert speakers will include Christine Keeble, Lou Brown, Rebecca Perkins, Dr Beth Johnson, Dr Roger Paterson and Dr. Michele Toner.
The conference will give attendees a solid understanding of ADHD from different angles. It will arm visitors with the tools, information and strategies to provide the best for those with ADHD so that they can realise their full potential and achieve their best.
