Located in East Perth, the Wellington Square upgrade is complete and boasts all new amenities including BBQ facilities, basketball courts, exercise equipment, an intergenerational playground featuring a skate park, super-tall tower slides, permanent ping pong tables and much more.

To celebrate the official launch of the redeveloped playground and facilities, the City of Perth is presenting a family fun day filled with food trucks, free amusements, cultural activities, sporting demonstrations, workshops, coaching and lots more family fun!

Free activities at the event include:

Nyoongar language lessons, yarning and painting workshops
Basketball competitions
Breaking demonstrations and mini workshops
Scooter / BMX / Skate coaching and demonstrations
Mini golf course
Fun inflatable items include Soccer Darts, Jungle Obstacle, Climbing Wall, Footy Goals, Bungee Run, Velcro Fly Wall and Archery.

ACROD parking bays are available on Bennett and Wittenoom Streets.

The closest train stations are Claisebrook and McIver stations which are within 10 minutes walking distance to Wellington Square.
