The first race meeting at Gloucester Park was held on 26 December 1929 and a crowd of some 17,000 people saw Alween win the opening event.
Finally costing $200,000 at the time of the Depression, the track was described as one of the best in the world! Come along and hear the fascinating history on these entertaining tours.
