Tides: Swan River Stories
The Derbarl Yerrigan | Swan River winds through our past, present and future as a different experience for all the people who live, work or play around it. Tides: Swan River Stories combines artist Alan Muller’s paintings with art and artefacts from the City of Perth’s Cultural Collection in a visual feast of myths, memories and meanings. From the Nyoongar Dreamtime through colonial settlement to the present day Tides: Swan River Stories groups moments and stories associated with the Derbarl Yerrigan following broad social, spiritual, economic, political, recreational and environmental topics.
Tides: Swan River Stories features the City of Perth Cultural Collection to trigger memories associated with Derbarl Yerrigan. Visual art, historical artefacts, oral histories and video footage provide an immersive experience for all visitor to reminisce and share personal stories associated with Derbarl Yerrigan.
