The Trees of Stirling Gardens

Stirling Gardens, the oldest park in Perth, is significant for its role in the horticultural development of the colony in the nineteenth century.

It was first used as an acclimatisation garden in the 1830s to raise specimens from seeds and became Perth's first botanical garden in 1845.

Join a tour with the City of Perth Parks team and learn the garden's history, its evolution over the years and challenges in caring for the site today.
