The Significance of Queens Gardens

Named for Queen Victoria and opened in 1899, Queens Gardens has delighted many generations of Perth residents.

Once a clay pit supplying bricks for the construction of many of Perth's oldest buildings, it was developed as a public park in the 'Picturesque' style and quickly became a popular destination for weekend musical performances and later wedding photos.

Join the iCity Tour Guides to learn more of its cultural and botanical history.

Meet on the corner of Hay Street and Hale Street.
