Tatts Folk and Roots with Matt Cal and Green Herring

Perth Folk and Roots Club is back in central Perth with the Tatts Folk and Roots series at the Perth Bowling and Recreation Club on Thursday 10^th July 2025 with renewed support from City of Perth through a Local Activation Grant and the support of Perth Bowling and Recreation Club.

Perth Folk and Roots Club is also working with Act Belong Commit in recognition of music’s contribution to mental wellbeing.

The performances are from 6pm to 9pm at Perth Bowling and Recreation Club, 2 Plain Street, Perth. Events are free and meals are available through The Plain Street Kitchen.

For this event, Perth Folk and Roots Club has Matt Cal and Green Herring. Matt Cal is a hard-working Western Australian folk and roots singer and guitarist who has already achieved multiple nominations for Western Australian Song Of the Year and a win in the Blues and Roots category in 2011 with his track Overdrive.

Green Herring are based in Greenbushes in the South West and play high energy, low voltage folk music influenced by blues, bluegrass, and country and Green Herring have previously played throughout Western Australia including at the Albany Maritime Festival, Nannup Music Festival and Bridgetown Blues.
