Join comic maker Kristina Turner for a series of free comic mentoring workshops.

Hone your comic-creating skills and make your own original comic to be published in the brand-new Sunset City Comic Anthology. The anthology and your original comic will debut as part of the 2026 Perth Comic Arts Festival hosted at the State Library of Western Australia on 26 July 2026.

Please note that this is an ongoing workshop series and it is essential that participants attend each session to experience the whole mentoring process and complete their project.

About Kristina

Kristina is a Filipino-Australian mixed-race artist based in Perth. She works both traditionally and digitally, mainly producing portraits. She often references Western and East Asian cultures in her art, reflecting her interests and identity journey. She also sells her artwork under the name K.Turner Arts.

About Milktooth School of Art & Stories

The Milktooth School of Art and Stories is a children’s studio that provides high-quality term long courses and school holiday workshops that are designed to inspire and empower. Local artists Elizabeth Marruffo and Campbell Whyte founded Milktooth in 2015 with the aim to create the art school they wish existed when they were children. Milktooth has now grown to be the largest dedicated comics school in the country, with over 600 students taking part in comic-making workshops each year and hundreds of comics printed as a result.
