RTRFM's In The Pines 2023: 30 Years of Pines

Boorloo’s best and most iconic acts celebrate 30 years of RTRFM’s In the Pines this April.

RTRFM’s local music fest In the Pines will take place for the 30th time in the idyllic surrounds of UWA’s Somerville Auditorium, featuring 20 of Perth’s best artists – new, old and returning – across two stages inside the Somerville, as well as 10 of our favourite DJs on Riley Oval. To celebrate 30 years of In The Pines, we expand beyond the Somerville and take over Riley Oval for a special DJ stage, bringing 10 of our favourite DJs to the party.

They join 20 local acts spanning the last 30 years; the brand new, the established, the classics and some returning favourites from the heady early days of In The Pines. 

With a collection of artists that present a perfect snapshot of what’s happening in the local music scene, acts include:

In The Pines is the perfect snapshot of WA music over the last year, but it’s more than simply a day of music. There’ll be food trucks and coffee from The Big Slice, Master Panda, Hoodburger, and The Cream Kombi, as well as drinks from Otherside Brewing Co, Vino Volta, Whipper Snapper, Kimberley Rum Company  and Little Things Gin.

In 2023 we also team up with the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions and Go2Cup to try and make In The Pines waste-free. Reusable cups will be available for water, wine and tap beer, and reusable bowls, plates and forks will be used at all food vendors. Containers for Change bins will be on hand for cans and bottles. Help us keep the site waste-free by recycling and composting where you can.

With 10 hours of local music and 8 hours of DJ magic in the stunning and serene surrounds of Somerville and Riley Oval, In The Pines 2023: 30 Years of Pines is the perfect place to picnic with friends, take in some of Perth’s exceptional musical talent and enjoy the party!

We’ll be broadcasting all the happenings live on your radio from 11:30am - 10pm at 92.1FM, and on digital and online at rtrfm.com.au.

Kids under-12 are free. Kids between 12 - 18 must buy a ticket and be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
