Once Known Carrolup

Once Known - Stolen Generation children's artworks created in the 1940s at the Carrolup Native Settlement

Opening for the first time at the Old Perth Boys’ School, Once Known presents a selection of meticulous reproductions of the delicate and treasured artworks created by Aboriginal children detained at the Carrolup Native Settlement in the 1940s.

Lost overseas for more than 60 years these artworks have come home to Noongar Boodjar and are an opportunity for sharing truth, healing and reconciliation.
