OldPerth - navigating Perth's history through State Library's Historical Photograph Collection
The OldPerth website provides a visually rich way to explore over 10,000 historical images of Perth and surrounds. This talk is hosted by Curtin University and will explore some of the new discoveries on the website and will test attendees' knowledge of OldPerth.
During the presentation, images from the collection of the State Library of Western Australia which have been geo-located and presented on a mapping interface will be shown and explored. Attendees will also learn how to use the interface, so that if they are looking for photos of a particular location around the CBD, they will be able locate them in seconds.
