Moments in the Park: Russell Square

Russell Square was established in 1839 and became an important recreation space for local residents. To European migrants it was known as Il Parco Dei Sosperi (The Park of Sighs) after the sounds of young Italian and Greek couples heading home from the dance halls.

Join us in celebrating its history with performances from Theatre 180 and music from Etta D'Elia. Bring a picnic rug and grab a free gelato* from the gelato cart on site and sit back, unwind and be swept up by the surroundings and music. (*numbers limited)
