Lasting impressions: love, family and the White Australia Policy
Thousands of non-British residents lived through the White Australia Policy in the early 20th century. People from China, Japan, India, the Philippines and many other countries made their homes in Western Australia despite policies and practices that targeted them as undesirable migrants.
Discover their stories in this exhibition. See the faces of individuals and families who lived, loved and made homes in Australia – and left a lasting impression on their communities and in the archives.
