International Observe the Moon Night
Join ICRAR (International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research) on Saturday, 14 September 14 from 6pm for NASA’s International Observe the Moon Night!
ICRAR will be busting out the telescopes and hitting the streets of Perth to observe our nearest celestial neighbour!
Come on down to Yagan Square under the Digital Tower for a look through ICRAR's 10-inch Dobsonians – you can check out all the amazing features to see on the moon’s surface, from mountains to craters to astronaut landing sites.
There'll also be real astronomers available to talk about what you can see and answer all your space questions.
The event will run from 6pm to 9pm, with observations beginning as soon as the moon becomes visible. Enjoy some lively roving performers while you’re there! Don’t forget to keep an eye on social media for key notifications and any last-minute updates.
