Human Rights Day Celebrations
To celebrate the anniversary, the Museum of Freedom and Tolerance will host a series of family events in Yagan Square on 9 and 10 December, and on the screens at the Perth Cultural Centre and the City of Perth Library.
Sunday 9 December, 12noon to 2pm
Join us to enjoy the anniversary with a special Welcome to Country ceremony, Aboriginal and multicultural youth dance performances and a related photography exhibition on digital tower. There will be a free play space for children to enjoy and a youth zine-making workshop in the WA Museum container, which will also be popping up onsite.
Monday 10 December, 10am
Come and get your own pocket guide to the Human Rights Declaration, a community arts project by the Community Arts Network, the Edmund Rice Centre and the Museum of Freedom and Tolerance.
Directly accessible by public transport, central to parking. The events will take place on the lawns at the centre of Yagan Square.
