The recently refurbished His Majesty’s Theatre will be holding behind the scenes tours and activities where visitors can explore staging technology used to make magic happen. With so many events on offer on Family Friday there is something for everyone to take delight from.
Family Friday Activities and Entertainment
Come down and experience live music, roving performers, costume boxes, colouring activities and other surprises! Meet some of the colourful past residents of His Majesty's Theatre and hear their stories, including a ballerina, opera singer, roller skating waitress and even a ghost! Have some theatrical face painting fun as the creative makeup students of North Metropolitan TAFE show off the techniques and special effects that help bring create the magic of theatre!

Behind The Scenes Tour
Visit the auditorium, stage, and backstage spaces of His Majesty’s Theatre and view memorabilia from the Museum of Performing Arts collection.
The tour commences in the ground floor foyer.
Time: Friday | 10:30am, 11:30am and 12:30pm
Ages: 8+
Duration: 30 minutes
Access: Suitable for able walkers (staircases need to be navigated)

Accessible Behind The Scenes Tour
