Hidden Treasure of Greek Iconography

A rare opportunity to view a hidden treasure of iconography of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation
The Iconography Project at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation in West Perth has been underway for nearly a decade. The project will result in all the walls being covered with icons, painted by a self-taught iconographer whose work exhibits the ancient Byzantine style.

This is a unique opportunity to see the completed icons and works in progress and to hear parish priest Father Emmanuel talk about the project, explain the meaning and use of icons in the Greek Orthodox Church and answer your questions.

Free tours will be conducted on 19, 20 and 26 October
Free parking available in the Church grounds
Tours of the Iconography Project at the Church of the Annunciation are part of the Perth Greek Festival, presented by LiveLighter. The Perth Greek Festival is supported by the Office of Multicultural Interests, Lotterywest and the City of Perth.
