
Furoshiki Eco-bag Workshop
Join the City of Perth Waste Education team at the Library for a Furoshiki Eco-bag workshop with Japanese artist Nami Osaki to celebrate Plastic Free July!
Furoshiki is a traditional Japanese wrapping cloth that is eco-friendly and is used for wrapping gifts and carrying goods. In this workshop, Nami will share her knowledge of Furoshiki art techniques to create sustainable carry bags. You will learn easy upcycling techniques to craft your own unique Furoshiki using items you already have at home.All materials will be provided for learning (not to take home). You are welcome to bring your own fabric, a large piece of fabric (1m x 1m) is needed for Furoshiki bag making.
This event is suitable for ages 16 and above. Places are limited.
All ticket sales are final, no refunds will be provided. Substitutions are accepted.
