Exhibitions on Screen: Greg Woodward Photographer
Greg Woodward is a documentary style photographer working mostly in Western Australia.
His images in the State Library of Western Australia archive were produced during the years 1966 to 2008.The subjects he recorded were heritage buildings in Perth, Northbridge and Fremantle. During this period Greg also photographed the Surf and beach scene of the 1970s – the surf breaks, surfers riding waves, and some surf personalities. He contributed photos and articles to the then brand-new OZ surf magazine called ‘Surf International’.
This digital exhibition features photos from the State Library of Western Australia archive alongside photos provided by Greg Woodward, offering a glimpse into WA cityscapes and culture in the 60s-80s.
