City of Melville and KickstART Festival Youth Art Exhibition

The City of Melville and KickstART Festival Youth Art Exhibition is a collective group exhibition featuring a variety of visual works from young artists. Intentionally unrestricted in theme, this is a space to make anything work so long as you have the vision. Attendees are invited to vote on their favourite piece, with the winner receiving a week of free gallery hire at the Canning Bridge Community Space. The artist group has been lead by Cara Teusner-Gartland.

About the lead artist: Cara Teusner-Gartland
Cara Teusner-Gartland is a (Fremantle) Walyalup-based interdisciplinary artist. Her practices range from painting, illustration, sculpture, installation, sound and written word. After completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Curtin University (2018), she has since gone on to present her work for Galvanise (2019), (e)merging (2020), the group exhibition Healing and Repair (2021), and a myriad of others. Her art explores environmental storytelling, building narratives interwoven through local landscapes to create intricate and somber pieces.
