Buddha's Birthday and Multicultural Festival
The Buddha's Light International Association of Western Australia will be presenting the Buddha's Birthday and Multicultural Festival 2025 on Saturday 12th April from 10.30am to 8.30pm and on Sunday 13th April, from 9am to 5pm at the Supreme Court Garden.
The Buddha’s Birthday and Multicultural Festival celebrates the birthday of the Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, and to share His teaching of loving kindness, compassion, wisdom, harmony, and forgiveness towards all beings through the activities presented in the two-day event. This is a vegetarian and non-alcoholic event.
This vibrant two-day festival celebrates ethnic diversity through an array of Buddhist ceremonies, meditation sessions, art exhibitions, cultural displays, children's playgrounds, music and dance performances and multicultural food stalls. It is a free entry, family friendly event which seeks to attract both locals and tourists.
The festival is organised collaboratively with local stakeholders, multi-faith groups, and multicultural community organisations, including partnerships with the City of Perth and the Office of Multicultural Interests.
