Binyaarns Bush Medicine

Binyaarns Bush Medicine Walk and Talk with Vivienne Hansen

Join in a morning walk and talk in Stirling Gardens with Vivienne Hansen, to learn all about the traditional bush medicines and bush tucker that can be found in the local region.

Vivienne Hansen is a Balladong Wadjuk yorga, renowned for her knowledge of Noongar bush medicine as learnt from elders throughout her childhood. Vivienne has authored two books and shares her knowledge of traditional medicines through workshops and her own care products.

Across the morning, Vivienne will guide the audience on a walk, identifying the different plants found throughout the garden and their well-being and health benefits. Following this Vivienne will lead an interactive session with participants to learn more about (pre-gathered) plants and guiding participants to make their own medicine bags or tea bags to take home.

Vivienne will also have her products and books available for purchase.
