A Painless Experience: Tracing the history of anaesthesia and surgery at RPH

Discover the unique anaesthetic and surgical instrument collection at the Royal Perth Hospital Museum.

Examine equipment hand built by pioneer anaesthetists at the cutting edge of pain medicine and view rare 1930s footage of an intubation procedure. You’ll be relieved by how far we’ve come!
 
Blind or vision impaired visitors are invited to discover the museum’s collection by touching and examining selected objects for an Early Session Tactile Tour on Sat 6 April, 9am – 10am. Weekly open hours, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9am – 2pm.
