A Guided Walk Through Time - The History of Kings Park
The walk is presented as a guided journey through time, from the earliest days of the Mooro group of the Wadjuk people, and their life in the area before settlement, to the experiences of the first settlers and what the area meant to them in the early years.
This tour guides attendees through theses journeys and tracks the creation of a park in the wilderness, its pavilions and promenades, tearooms and terraces.
Finally, it will explore the influence of world events leading to a focus on memorials and the development of the ceremonial role the park has today.
