Generics
Iconic Perth wellness boutique Generics are my first port of call for the best in vegan, natural and organic beauty. Stocking an incredible range of local and international beauty and wellness brands, Generics have something for everyone. Some of the fantastic lines they stock include Mukti, Maaemo, Osun sparkling, and new Magic of I range. Also popular, their own Generics meditation range of incense and smudge sticks are perfect for self care and reflection during iso.I stock up on the (WA born) Welle Co Super Elixir (taken once a day with water), a daily health supplement formulated using a combination of 40+ naturally derived ingredients, including wholefoods, herbal extracts, vitamins, minerals and probiotics. It helps support overall gut health, provides immune support, enhances energy, and helps support the appearance of healthy skin, and stronger hair and nails. For me, these are all essential to making sure my immunity levels are up and improves my overall health.
To further lift my mood at home, I can’t stop painting my nails with Treat Collection nail varnishes. These are vegan and formulated without Toluene, DBP, Camphor, Formaldehyd and Formaldehyd Resin.
One thing that has set a calm mood from home has been burning a candle. I just finished my last of the always popular Generics vegan candles, so I’ll be ordering a new one soon. My pick? Purple Rain, a modern blend of violets and limes inspired by Prince.
Generics Northbridge is currently open or shop online and opt for home delivery or click and collect. Phone orders are also available with next day home delivery. (Perth metro $15 or free when you spend $100+).

The Vim & Co Maison Balzac candle and glassware range is perfect to enjoy at home while in iso. They have just added covetable brand Pixi to their ranges, including hero product Pixi Glow Tonic (my fave!), and the Pixi Peel and Polish - a double exfoliating product that uses acid peel and physical peel in one.
My picks? Vim & Co stock the cult and much sort after range from affordable brand The Ordinary. Offering their full range of foundations in serum and full coverage, the team can colour match if people need a hand. Priced at under $13 per bottle, I’ve been using the Serum foundation for a year and I love it! Need a little makeup to lift your mood or to brave a video conference? This is for you!

Aesop at Enex100
Melbourne born skincare company and Instagram darling Aesop combine scientific research with ingredients sourced from the most reputable suppliers around the world to create covetable skincare ranges.
I have been carrying one of the hand balms with me for years but leaning on them more than ever to combat dry hands thanks to extra use of hand sanitiser over the recent period. The carefully selected ingredients soothe and deliver deep hydration where it is needed. At home I also make sure my bathroom is stocked with their Geranium Leaf Body Balm, Rosehip Seed Lip Cream and Mouthwash.
Located in Enex100, the stand-alone Perth Aesop store is open.
Mecca Forrest Chase
Known clearly as the holy grail of beauty, the giant Mecca store at Forrest Chase has the goods when it comes to your skin care, hair care and of course cosmetics. My bathroom not so secretly looks like a mini Mecca store, loaded with their cult favourites from international brands loved the world over. While at home in lockdown, I’ve been cheering myself up by doing my makeup every few days and using the down time to practice my skills and experiment a little. Mecca stock my cosmetics favourites Nars, Too Faced, Hourglass, MAC and more. Don’t overlook their signature brands Mecca Cosmetica and Mecca Max. Mecca Max is a vegan line offering affordable options and Mecca Cosmetica have the best skin prep. Standouts include their SPF for face (a non-negotiable for me, I wear sunscreen daily even at home to prevent ageing and protect from UVB rays from my screen time) as well as their line of makeup primers.
Mecca is available for home delivery online now.
Priceline at Enex100
Not to be overlooked, Priceline is a little goldmine for self care products! As you can see, my bathroom is loaded up with goods! For cosmetics my picks include Bourjois blush pots, Burt’s Bees lip balms, Maybelline mascara, Nyx and Rimmel eye liners, Nude by Nature mineral powders and brushes. For skincare I am obsessed with everything from French cult skincare brand Avène, who offer incredibly gentle skincare and excellent sun protection products for face and body.
Need to unwind with an incredible face mask? Don’t we all? I love the mask from Australian brand Alya Skin (it also smells like rose Turkish Delight) and I take all of my makeup and skincare off with the reusable facial pads from Australian brand Face Halo. Priceline even stock the popular Korean skincare range Cremorlab.
Not to forget hair care while we long for our hairdressers, Priceline offer a huge range of Klorane products including (in my opinion) the best dry shampoo ever (something I have been using a little too often in lockdown) hair masks, shampoos and styling products. And finally to extend those summer tans, I can’t go past the epic self tan range on offer! While Priceline have an overwhelming number of self tan options available, I’ve always been impressed with St Tropez, particularly the Watermelon Infusion line which avoids that traditional self tanner smell.
Priceline is open at Enex100.
Myer Perth City
The two major department stores in Perth are an obvious place as a one-stop shop where your beauty, fragrance and skincare needs are concerned for both men and women. Myer offers the classics like Clinique, Estée Lauder, Chanel, Clairns, Lancôme, Elizabeth Arden, Benefit, Bobbi Brown and a LOT more.
I’m now onto my second pot of the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base, am a huge fan of their Shimmer Bricks for blush, bronzer and highlighting. If I counted the number of women who rave to me about the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair serum I could fill a novel! I’m a big fan (and will soon be finishing yet another bottle) and can’t deny their lipstick range either. Myer have all the Chanel beauty I could ever dream of (and I do!) and like everyone else, I’ve got a few must have’s from Clinique on hand too.
Myer is offering Click and Collect with stores set to reopen soon.
David Jones Hay Street Mall
David Jones stock some of the most beautiful skincare brands in the world, with luxury offerings like La Mer, SKII, Kiehl’s, La Prairie and more. They also stock smaller Australian brands like Jurlique, Kora Organics by Miranda Ker and Grown Alchemist offering some beautiful products at reasonable prices.
During lockdown I’ve been making sure to use my favourite products to really look after my skin. My splurge purchases have to be La Mer but I am obsessed with the Kora Organics Turmeric Brightening Mask which I put on before I jump in the shower for a brightening and exfoliating two-in-one mask. It’s peppermint oil scent is invigorating to get me going on cold mornings too. Last year I finally discovered the cosmetics line from Clarins. I now seem to find myself using a Clarins cosmetics product every time I put makeup on and I am raving to everyone about their Joli Blushes, SOS Primer and iconic Lip Oils.
Finally, I have been making sure to wear a different scent everyday at home to lift my spirits. Of course, David Jones have plenty to offer in the way of fragrance, my favourites being Jo Malone London.
David Jones Hay Street Mall is open.
