We've officially hit Chrimbo Limbo, the bit between Christmas and New Year when no one knows what day it is. Is it Thursday? Saturday? Have I eaten today? Do I care if I wear the same thing again? Lucky for you we've rounded up some of the best things to see and do in the City til to make the most of this hazy time between Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. 

United Cup: Perth

This Thursday 29 December to Wednesday 4 January

New Year's Eve

What are your plans for New Year's Eve? To help you out, we've rounded up the best events that are happening over Perth this NYE, so you can start planning how you'll bring in 2023. 

City of Light Show presented by Atlas Iron

Ring in the New Year with the family! Elizabeth Quay transforms into an all-ages fun fair with entertainment, food trucks and a kid count-down at 9pm accompanied by spectacular fireworks display over the inlet. Click here for more info.  

New Year’s Eve in Northbridge 

Countdown to the New Year in Northbridge with a huge range of restaurants, bars, pubs and nightclubs celebrating the occasion. Roads close to welcome crowds for a midnight fireworks display.  

Ice Cream Factory 

Perth’s ultimate party palace will be going big to round out a big year, dishing up a triple scoop of your favourite artists, activations, epic d-floors, drinks, DJs and a whole lot of dancing! Grab your tickets here. 

Freedom Time  

Get your body moving and lose yourself to the music at Freedom Time, a cool open-air dance festival heading to the Supreme Court Gardens this New Year's Eve. Serving up the hottest electronic dance acts across several stages, you'll be partying well into the wee hours of 2023. Limited tickets remain, so get in quick.  

The Reveley 

End 2022 high above Elizabeth Quay with an intimate 4-course dinner in The Reveley‘s deluxe dining room and a menu designed by Executive Chef Ben Keal and Head Chef Julian Lim, plus a glass of Moët & Chandon on arrival. 

The Aviary 

It’s the ultimate Miami New Year’s Eve festival on the Aviary’s rooftop, featuring their neon Electric Miami summer pop up, featuring three hours of free-flowing house wine, beers, and two food stations to sip and graze to your heart’s content. 

Pirate Life

Rio Tinto Christmas Lights Trail

Across the City | Now to Monday 2 January | From 6pm

If you haven't caught the Lights Trail, now is your last chance. The Rio Tinto Christmas Lights Trail 2022 covers 6km across the City of Light and will be on until January 2.

Be mesmerised by 35 large-scale light installations ranging from traditional Christmas icons and loveable Australian animals, to immersive projections on historic buildings. Enjoy festive entertainment and performances throughout the City every Friday and Saturday night. It’s free, and you can get more information here.

Elizabeth Quay Fun Fair

Last chance to check out the Elizabeth Quay Fun Fair! The ultimate one-stop-shop for festive fun, merry tunes and crazy carnival fare this December, the Fun Fair features fireworks display every Saturday night! Tickets available here.

RAC Arena
