Christmas sparkles in your City with 46 nights of events and activities. From carols, concerts, lights and decorations, to festivals and pageants, there’s one place to find it all this Christmas.

Rio Tinto Christmas Lights Trail

Across the City | Now to Monday 2 January | From 6pm

A signature event on Perth’s festive calendar. Now in its sixth year, the Rio Tinto Christmas Lights Trail 2022 covers 6km across the City of Light over 46 summer evenings.  

Be mesmerised by 35 large-scale light installations ranging from traditional Christmas icons and loveable Australian animals, to immersive projections on historic buildings. Enjoy festive entertainment and performances throughout the City every Friday and Saturday night. It’s free, and you can get more information here.

Alinta Energy Christmas Pageant

St Georges Terrace to Langley Park | Saturday 3 December | 7:30pm  

Watch on as decorated floats and over 2,500 performers amplify the Christmas spirit with a spectacular parade of colour and light. A family event not to be missed! Get more info here.

Ice Cream Factory

Northbridge | Friday 2 December to Sunday 1 January | Friday, Saturday & Sundays  

A summer festival in the centre of the City! Four weeks of shows featuring some of the best local and national DJs, artists and bands, including The Veronicas, Vera Blue, and Cosmo’s Midnight. Grab tickets here. 

Christmas Markets in the Park 

Central Park Gardens | Wednesday 7 and Thursday 8 December | 11am to 2pm 

Wander around an outdoor market of Christmas gifts, artisan delicacies, fresh produce, native Woolly Bush Christmas trees and even a personalised bauble station. Food stalls, a bar, plus a seating area to enjoy the live music, entertainment and games. Gift wrapping for gold-coin donation, with all proceeds going to charity. Click here for more info.

The Ellington Jazz Club presents: Jazz with a Bang!

Yagan Square Amphitheatre | Friday 2 December | 4:30pm to 6:30pm

The Ellington Jazz Club Brass with a Bang! will bring Yagan Square's Amphitheatre to life with some incredible brass bands... but this is not brass bands as you know them!

If you're thinking of the gently swingin' days of old, think again! This free pop-up show will feature brass like you've never seen it before!
This collection of Perth’s most hardcore jazz-rock musicians is loud, fun, and guaranteed to get you up singing, dancing, groovin' and shakin'! This band will bring you Perth's most burnin' solos, flamin' guitar riffs, hottest musicians and a whole heap of spicy moves. Ain’t no party like a Brass Party! An Indigenous-Made Christmas

Bring the whole mob to this magical Christmas market to enjoy family entertainment, browse and buy from a beautiful range of art, gifts, crafts and delicious food.

Curated by Karla Hart Productions, this marketplace brings together the very best of Western Australian First Nations artisans and businesses. More information here.

Djindoon Djenung 

Yagan Square Ampitheatre | Sunday 4 December and Sunday 11 December | 7pm to 8:30pm

Yagan Square will be hosting the ultimate evening of Dreamtime storytelling and stargazing over two Sundays on 4 December and 11 December (and resuming in 2023), completely free of charge.

Award-winning, renowned Noongar guide Walter McGuire of Go Cultural Aboriginal Tours and Experiences will take guests through the 90 minute spiritual experience at Goologoolup (Yagan Square), from 7.00pm. Visit here for more information.

Liberty Alive 

The Liberty Theatre & Laneway | Now to Saturday 10 December 

Otherside Brewing Co and Crafted Events will bring a one-time-only music and laneway festival experience to the most extraordinary space; a cultural icon in Perth's CBD: The Liberty Theatre. 
Liberty Alive brings a spectacular line-up of musicians to the once abandoned Liberty Theatre, with its rear thoroughfare - the Liberty Laneway - brought to life through an immersive experience of bars, food vendors, DJs and art for all to enjoy. Tickets available here. 

RAC Arena  

With international travel back on the cards, some of the world’s biggest music acts are heading back to Perth to play RAC Arena over the next few months.

West Australian Ballet proudly presents a breathtaking new classical production of ballet's greatest masterpiece.
