 For a first date

If you’re just getting to know each other, an interactive activity is a great idea so you’ll have a chance to chat during the show. 

Depending on your date’s drink preference, try Brewed Laughter | Beer tasting with a Comedian, Uncorked Comedy | Wine tasting with a Comedian, or Booze School – Old Young’s Cocktail Class! Or to test out your artistic skills together while having a laugh, check out Life Drawing with a Comedian.

For a romantic evening

Nothing says romance like a dimly-lit bar and a jazz band or string quartet. 

Head to The Ellington Jazz Club for the sultry sounds of Perth Cabaret Collective or Sassafras Swings; lose yourself in lush strings at Moana Hall at Romance and Fairytales with Mark Turner; or enjoy A Parisian Affair with Catherine Summers - Cabaret Jazz Band, Burlesque, Showgirl and more at The Old Pickle Factory.

For a laugh

There are hundreds of comedy shows at Fringe to choose from. Not sure where to start? Try 3 Course Comedy for a taste of three of the festival’s best comedians.

Couples Comedy brings together a comedian and a relationship counsellor for an entertaining and educational experience, while 5.2 explores the ups and downs of relationships through circus.

If you and your partner love to travel, Andrew McClelland’s A Seated Walking Tour of Western Europe will give you that taste of Paris and Rome that you’ve been craving ever since borders closed…

For a thrill

Get your adrenaline pumping and skin tingling with one of the four DARKFIELD multi-sensory experiences: COMA and SÉANCE at the Perth Cultural Centre and FLIGHT and EULOGY at The Pleasure Garden. Taking place inside shipping containers, each immerses you in complete darkness with 360 degree sound. 

For a boogie

If you’re the kind of couple who loves to hit the dance floor together, head to Funkercize! For disco grooves, Brass Party: Toot Dirty to Me for 90s and 2000s dance anthems, or Late Night Speakeasy (Roaring 20s Cotton Club) feat Catherine Summers for Prohibition-era swing.

Or, just pop by the FRINGE WORLD Silent Disco after catching a show at The Pleasure Garden and shimmy the night away.

For something saucy

The range of cabaret and variety shows at Fringe includes plenty of burlesque. Expect skin, sequins and seduction galore at A ménage à trois, Club D’amour, Crème de la crème, or Rouge (to name just a few of the ones with French titles)!
