Perth Italian Festival

This April marks the fourth year of the Lotterywest Boorloo Heritage Festival, a month-long celebration of Perth’s fascinating past. After the success of the previous years, we’re excited to welcome back some crowd-favourites that showcase the city’s diverse heritage.

Stepping Back with Fireman Jack

1 – 30 April | Old Central Fire Station Heritage Centre

Step back to 1930 and join Fireman Jack for a self-guided stroll through the Murray Street East and Victoria Square precinct. Winner of a 2025 WA Heritage Award, this trail offers engaging storytelling that brings heritage buildings to life.

Memento: WA History reimagined through contemporary fashion

9 – 24 April | Perth Town Hall

One of our favourite parts of the Boorloo Heritage Festival is the work created by North Metropolitan TAFE design students inspired by a piece of Perth’s history. This year, they’ve created contemporary garments based on artefacts and mementos carefully selected from The Royal West Australian Historical Society collection, with the looks on display in the Perth Town Hall Undercroft on select dates throughout April.

Get ready to sip on a spritz, feast on pizza, pasta and gelato, dance to traditional music and be captivated by live performances.
