Staycation in Perth this summer

South Perth
There’s no better place to admire our stunning city skyline than the South Perth foreshore. Arrive by ferry, hop off at the new piazza at Mindeerup, and stay the weekend at Peninsula Riverside Serviced Apartments.
The number one way to explore the area is on two wheels. Head to South Perth Cycles on Mill Point Road, hire bikes from GoGo Active Tours and set off on one of Perth’s most popular scenic rides, the bridges. A visit to Perth Zoo should be on your list, followed by dinner and drinks as the sun goes down overlooking the Swan River at Mister Walker.
Victoria Park
Nothing says luxury like a stay at the six-star Crown Towers. After dropping off your bag, head to the expansive lagoon pools to kick back on the daybeds in true resort style. After a poolside cocktail (or two – who’s counting!), it will be time to explore the many restaurants the hotel has to offer. If you are looking to up your dinner game, had to the renowned Rockpool or Nobu.
Wanting to venture a little further out? It's a short stroll across the Peninsula to the Three B’s Burswood Bar and Bistro, which has incredible views, and even more incredible food.
After waking up to views of the Swan River, explore Burswood Park to the foreshore and check out the views of Matagarup Bridge and Optus Stadium, before a lunch stop at The Camfield for a pizza and pint of craft beer brewed in-house.
No staycation is complete without a massage, and the Crown Spa certainly delivers, relaxing you into a state of utter bliss.
Subiaco
Stay at one of Perth’s newest accommodation options, Vibe Hotel, right in the heart of Subi. You’ll be a short walk to Subiaco’s best bars and restaurants as well as shopping options for those looking for some retail therapy – keep an eye out for the local street art while you explore!
Once you’ve checked in, spend the afternoon at Vibe’s rooftop pool before heading out to Old Values Subiaco for some cocktails and delicious tapas.
In the morning, start the day with a spa treatment at L'occitane’s Petit Spa followed by a long lunch at Dilly Dally top celebrate your Subi staycay. The menu is Italian-inspired menu and the drinks list is extensive!
West Perth
For an inner-city staycation with a relaxing, peaceful vibe head to leafy West Perth. Tribe Perth is a boutique hotel just outside of the CBD and right next door to Kings Park.
After checking in at Tribe Perth, relax at one of their funky shared spaces or head into the CBD on the free Red CAT bus for some retail therapy.
When it comes to dinner, we recommend Julio’s; it’s housed in a heritage-listed building and serves up a delicious Italian menu thanks to Italian Executive Chef Simone Ariono – so you know it’s legit!
After a restful night, start your day with breakfast at Botanical Café at Kings Park (maybe even catch the sunrise) or Gordon Street Garage if you’re a coffee lover. Wander over to Kings Park and enjoy one of the beautiful walks – there’s 400 hectares of tall trees, stunning bushland, lakes, sculpted gardens and picnic areas, perfect for working up an appetite for lunch.
Finish your West Perth staycation at Donnie Taco (open Mon-Sat), West Perth’s taco café with a half basketball court where you can channel your inner Michael Jordan! There’s plenty of delicious taco options, but for something different try the jackfruit taco.
