Featuring a 9-piece band playing classics like Superstition, Signed Sealed Delivered, Living For The City and Master Blaster, the audience will be taken on a journey through the cultural moments his music has had an impact on.

Old Mervs

I got to check Old Mervs in the last few months when they joined international rock ‘n’ roll star Liam Gallagher and homegrown heroes Spacey Jane on their tours playing sets featuring their organic, catchy style of indie-rock. Now the WA duo of Henry Carrington-Jones and David House are branching out on a national headline tour. Old Mervs is having a stellar run at the moment so head on up to The Rechabite to check out this group on the up.

Boo Seeka

The first time I saw Boo Seeka was at a SAFIA gig at Amplifier, years later he makes his first appearance next door at Magnet House. A duo until 2021, singer-songwriter Ben Gumbleton now leads the Boo Seeka ship as a solo artist to celebrate the release of his second studio album Between The Head & The Heart. Along with the new songs, he’ll be revisiting old favourites like Deception Bay, Kingdom Leader and Humans in one of Perth’s best venues.

HeartKids Presents Bob Evans with Siobhan Cotchin

Listen to one of WA’s legendary indie artists whilst helping kids in need? Is there any reason not to head out to see Bob Evans? Kevin Mitchell, aside from being a successful Australian solo artist known as Bob Evans, is also the frontman for the legendary band Jebediah. In September he’ll take to the stage at The Sewing Room for an intimate evening. All profits from the concert will go to support HeartKids an organisation that improves the lives of children who are impacted by childhood heart disease and their families.

Ghost Care

There is so much to like about Ghost Care. The trio have been a constant presence on the Perth live music scene releasing music and scooping up new fans. Their appearance at Badlands Bar is to mark the release of their darker new song Part Time Living. It’s a new creative twist from the group with the song having a harder edge than their other normally chilled indie tracks. With heaps of stage presence and shows that can brighten up the room (even in the cavern at Badlands), it’s the perfect way to herald in the Spring.
