Featuring a stellar lineup of some of WA’s finest local talent including Chris Murphy, Ella Bee, Roxy Lebrasse and Mind Electric comes a special evening where the greatest dance anthems of the last 30 years are flipped on their heads with the Perth Symphony Orchestra. Synthony Danny Hodgson was doing what many of us have done innocently, walking to the train station after spending the night in the CBD. He was celebrating the end of the season with his football teammates as was assaulted as he was just trying to head home. Today he remains in hospital with severe head injuries. Five top bands are now rallying together to raise funds for his family and ease the financial pressure for them with a night that will be filled with the best of Ska, Britpop, New wave, punk and alternative music. It's a chance for all of us as a community to help a worthy cause and all funds will be going to Danny and his family.

Benefit Night for Danny Hodgson
Check out one of Perth’s exciting new groups as they release their new single “Standing There” at the legendary Amplifier Bar. The iconic bar will provide the perfect space for Late 90s and their ever-growing fans. The group emerged from suburbia after lifelong friends Elliot Lee (drums) and twins Zaac (lead guitar) and Brody Morgan (bass) decided to leap into composing music and developing their sound. Think coastal garage indie rock with a smattering of mid-90s alt-rock and you get the warmth of Late 90s. Joining them on the night will also be Ferncroft, South Summit and Humble Armada.

Perth Cabaret Collective Coming to you from a collection of local music and event entrepreneurs, the inaugural Way Way West festival is set to take over The Bird and adjoining carpark for an entire weekend that will be busting at the seams with WA talent. The event will showcase everything from psych-rock to punk, indie and live electronic and everything in between. If you love your West Aussie artists or even just want to expose yourself to who’s out there, this event is one you can’t miss. Saturday will feature artists like Jamilla, Mt Mountain, Gap Year and Gia Como. Then the Sunday will showcase a lineup of celebrated DJs to round out the weekend.
