One Horse Town
The Bird
Saturday, 29 March
One of the legends of Perth’s indie golden era, One Horse Town is dusting itself off for a rare, one-off reunion at The Bird. A cult favourite in the early 2000s, this trio redefined rock’s rulebook rocking no bass, no lead guitar, just Sascha Ion’s gritty baritone, Ronan Charles’ Rhodes piano, and Stuart Leach’s thunderous drums delivering a swampy, stoner-rock punch. It’s been 18 years since their last gig, and who knows when they’ll ride again. Joined by psych-rockers PMX and garage post-punks Phantom Island, this is a must-see for Perth’s old-school rock faithful.
