Australia's national exercise guidelines outline how much physical activity we need to stay healthy, and suggests a bare minimum of two and a half hours of moderate intensity activity, or one and a half hours of high-intensity activity, per week. But with all fitness institutes closed or slowly re-opening, us Australians may find it a little hard to meet these requirements and keep motivated.

Luckily for those who need a bit of guidance, we’ve pulled together a list of Perth fitness institutes that have pivoted pretty quick to get their studios online, offering streamed workouts and virtual sweat sessions.

If you know any Perth fitness institutes we’ve left off the list, you can let us know on our dedicated business registration page so we can keep this list rolling!

Their members also have the option of doing a hybrid mix of virtual classes and in studio classes, which gives you the best of both worlds! They would love to help you kickstart your journey back to health.

All classes – which are now running online – are run by professional physiotherapists with real time feedback, so they’re suitable for all levels and safe if you have an injury, or are simply nervous about starting something new. Their online timetable ranges from functional yoga-style classes and rehabilitation for weak backs and hips – and for all you overachievers out there – to higher level gymnastics, taken by a physiotherapist and national gymnast.

El Toro will be posting mini workouts regularly on their Instagram account, tailored to all fitness levels. They target a different area of the body each day, so you’ll want to follow along all week.

S30 Studios
S30 Studios delivers your workout a little differently. Inspired by Hip Hop and RnB, S30 runs group weight training classes in an underground nightclub setting to keep you motivated while you sweat. And now everyone's favourite nightclub gym is going online! S30 will be giving six download-able sessions per week which come with demonstrations, explanations, warm-ups and, most importantly, daily mixtapes.
