And there are heaps of great events happening in the city. So check out this guide to Christmas events in Perth and lock in a festive friend date ASAP…

Say cheers: Christmas drinks in the City

Kick off December with the “Feliz Navidad” edition of Nacho Typical Thursday at Caballitos on December 1st. From $15 candy cane margaritas to $5 tacos and even the chance to get a Christmas tattoo, it’s definitely not your typical Thursday night…

On Saturday 3rd, you can brush up on your mixology skills over a grazing board at Hadiqa’s Cocktails on the Terrace: Christmas edition. You’ll be guided through the creation of two seasonal concoctions.

The Flour Factory is also holding Christmas-themed cocktail classes on Saturdays 10th and 17th and a ‘GINgle all the way’ gin masterclass on Wednesday 14th, while Varnish on King has got whiskey-lovers covered with their Baller Festive Whiskey Masterclass on Tuesday 6th.

On the big screen: Christmas movies in the City

It wouldn’t be Christmas season without some very merry movies! Cheerful tunes and happy endings are non-negotiable, of course.

Northbridge Piazza is getting in on the action: head there to grab a beanbag for the free screening of Love Actually on Wednesday 14th.

Rooftop Movies is also putting on a selection of classic Christmas faves during December. Book tickets to see Love Actually or Elf on top of the Roe Street carpark with the city skyline as a backdrop and stars coming out overhead. With wine and beer, Huxtaburger meals and (naturally) cinema candy bar treats available, it’s a great place to spend a balmy summer evening.

On Saturday 3rd, An Indigenous-Made Christmas will bring together First Nations artisans in Yagan Square. Browse the market stalls and pick up beautiful arts, crafts, gifts and foods to fill your loved ones’ stockings.
