Playtime at May Drive Parkland, Kings Park
With rolling lawns, fun play areas, free barbecues, a charming café and beautiful gardens, May Drive Parkland is the perfect place for making memories with friends and family. While the parkland will be loved by the whole family, the island fort, 75 metre long elevated walkway and large-scale replicas of extinct Australian megafauna make it particularly suited for children aged seven and older.
Get the heart racing at Northbridge Piazza’s Summer of Sport
Relax on the lawn in the shade of the Piazza’s umbrellas for all the live action on the City of Perth Northbridge Piazza’s Superscreen during the Summer of Sport. Sports fans are absolutely spoiled for choice, with cricket, tennis and cycling all set to be broadcast on the Piazza’s iconic big screen.

Step into history at the Old Court House
Travel back in time into the oldest building in Perth city, the 1836 Court House. Visit the Museum today to experience the atmosphere of the historic court room where you can picture the trials that occurred in this internationally significant building, or sit down in the judge’s seat, try on the wigs and gowns provided, and make up your own mock trial!

Storytime at City of Perth Library
Kick back and enjoy a mix of stories and songs, then watch the kids unleash their creativity with a fun craft session to wrap up. Further develop school readiness skills, such as concentration, literacy, social, and motor skills in a fun and informal environment. From St Georges Terrace to Northbridge and East Perth, spend an afternoon discovering all the amazing murals and street art around our City with a self-guided tour. You might have to keep a close eye out for some of the more hidden murals, but it’ll be well worth it once you find them.
Dive into culture at Art Gallery of WA
Immerse yourself in specially curated exhibitions – be sure to visit Gallery 09, which hosts a year round artist-led participatory exhibition series that’s perfect for families to interact and engage. The gallery is free to visit, however visitors are asked to make a small donation as they enter. Conveniently located just a short walk from Perth Train Station and the City of Perth Cultural Centre and State Library car parks.

Head to Northbridge Piazza, snuggle into a comfy bean bag and settle into a movie, free of charge.
Don’t forget to take advantage of free parking after 6pm in City of Perth car parks and on-street parking. Otherwise, enjoy free public transport with a SmartRider from now until 5 February 2025.
