It's September, and you know what that means – it’s time to start thinking about Christmas parties. We know it feels like it was only just Easter five minutes ago, but if you want to secure a spectacular spot for your next work do, you need to put it on your agenda now. Luckily Perth is brimming with hot spots to host your next love-in with your colleagues, and we’ve found five of the best.
The Belltower, Elizabeth Quay
You know The Belltower offers 360 views of Perth and the Swan River, but did you know it also offers function spaces – including the observation deck and glass foyer? So if you want to impress your colleagues with a stunning venue and unrivalled views, this is the spot for you. They don’t offer in house catering, making it one of the few spots in Perth that allows you to BYO food and drink to your event - so you and your colleagues can get creative with exactly what you want your menu to be.
The Flour Factory, Perth
When it comes to functions and events, Queen Street’s The Flour Factory is a crowd favourite, letting you choose from various spaces like The Sherry, The Factory and The Top Floor. The Sherry is a hidden rooftop bar that sits on the top floor of The Flour Factory, and is part lounge, part outdoor terrace, plus boasts a lush green garden. If you require a bit of extra space, check out The Factory - an atmospheric room featuring polished wooden floors, exposed beams and neutral white walls. Or if you really need space – like, for 250 people, say – The Top Floor is what you want, which is The Sherry and The Factory combined. Whatever space you choose, the team can set up anything from a cocktail function, sundowner or seated dinner.

Print Hall is a corporate function classic for a reason - its got everything covered. You can choose your space from the likes of Bob’s Bar, Gazette and the Apple Daily, and have anything from a stand-up cocktail function to a long table lunch. Plus, they can accommodate events with up to 900 guests – just in case your company is on the enormous side. Whatever type of work do you’re looking for, they’ll be able to do it for you.
Perth City Farm, East Perth
Sure, you know Perth City Farm does weddings but did you know they also cater for corporate do’s? You can choose from the industrial-chic spot of The Barn, which can hold up to 200 guests and has a commercial kitchen attached for your caterers to jump in. Or you can book exclusive use of the smaller Art Room, which an open-plan warehouse that opens out onto the street for food trucks, pop up bars and DJs to set up.
Hadiqa, Perth CBD
Another venue with stunning city views Hadiqa is a beautiful spot to unwind with your colleagues and offer share-style menus of their signature Middle Eastern cuisine. What’s more, their intimate rooftop spaces can cater to groups of any size. If you have a smaller crew, then book their versatile Terrace area that can hold around 20 people. Or if you have a larger group, you can book exclusive use of the entire venue. Whichever option you choose, it will a work do nobody will forget.
