A must-do experience with the kids these school holidays is letting them soak up Perth’s rich history by taking them to visit The Bell Tower. Take the kids on a tour and they’ll be in awe when they see the 14th century twelve bells of St Martin-in-the-Fields right up close! They’ll also be given the chance to ring the historic bells that were given to Western Australia as part of the national Bicentennial celebrations in 1988. While the kids have all the fun inside, there’s also a viewing deck right at the top where you can soak up one of the best views of the Swan River in Perth.
Your kids can experience the wonder and enjoyment of a traditional Venetian Carousel right in the heart of the city at Elizabeth Quay Carousel. With over a dozen horses and carriages to ride on, there’s room for everyone! Complete with dazzling lights and enchanting music, your young ones aren't going to want to leave!
After all that excitement head to Gusto Gelato to treat the kids to a scoop of their favourite ice-cream flavour. Gusto Gelato ice-cream is handcrafted and made from scratch – meaning you’ll find no artificial flavours or commercial pastes. Enjoy this delicious desert while walking along the river edge over to the Elizabeth Quay Carousel.
Once you’ve finished exploring Elizabeth Quay with the kids, you’ll find the Elizabeth Quay train station only a stone’s throw away. Or if your kids aren’t tuckered out from all that adventure, check out our other exciting itineraries for Northbridge, East Perth and West Perth.
