Everclear
Magnet House
Saturday 13 December
Everclear are rolling into Perth with a full-throttle celebration of Sparkle and Fade, the album that turned them from ‘90s alt-rock staples into household names. Frontman Art Alexakis is marking the record’s 30th anniversary by taking fans straight back to 1995 with classics “Santa Monica”, "Heroin Girl”, “Heartspark Dollarsign” plus the frustration, angst and heart that defined the era. Expect a night built for singing, reminiscing and remember why this album hit so hard in the first place. Magnet House is going to feel like the best kind of loud, nostalgic and cathartic time warp.

Cities - HRDNUP Album Launch
The Bird
Wednesday 10 December
Perth pop-punk/alt-rock outfit Cities have been grinding away in the studio and their debut album HRDNUP is finally ready to see daylight, or at least The Bird’s stage lights. They’re marking the release with a night stacked with local talent and mates. Adored are bringing the indie-dance shimmer, Pontianak channelling raw emo energy and 11;44 leaning in that angst -laden indie rock pulse. Then Cities will take to the stage to close it out with the kind of hook-heavy tracks built for windows-down, post-breakup headbanging. A proper local showcase with a huge moment for a band on the rise.

The Music of D’Angelo
The Ellington Jazz Club
Saturday 27 December
With D’Angelo’s recent passing in October, this tribute feels like a chance to celebrate the music that shaped so much of modern R&B. Expect a deep dive through “Voodoo”, “Black Messiah” and those unmistakable grooves that made him such a force. Fresh off their Erykah Badu x Kehlani show, the same powerhouse band is back, now with Jordan Anthony joining Tina Zando, Persia and a seriously slick rhythm section. It’s a night to enjoy, to move and to soak up the soul of an artist who left too soon.
