You’re about to watch the Australian Women’s team smash some sixes in the World Cup T20, so why not smash some dinner beforehand?

There’s a great selection of places to eat dinner in the East Perth area, which is just an arm’s throw from the WACA.

Here, we’ve given you our starting XI this World Cup Series.

Hibernian Place

Hibernian Place is the newest dining hub to pop on the scene. Located in the East End of the City, it’s just a short walk from the CBD it houses casual eating and drinking options perfect for before or after a match.

Garum

A collaboration between Guy Grossi and The Westin Perth, this Roman osteria is housed in the historic Hibernian Hall in the East End. You’ll find food that focuses on ancient Roman techniques partnered with modern Roman classics.

Hadiqa

Nestled in Hibernian Place, Hadiqa brings middle eastern influence to an oasis in the city.

Arthur & Co

Hailing all the way from rugged Scotland, chef and the man behind Gordon Street Garage’s menu, Graham Arthur is delivering morning-til-late modern eclectic casual dining. You can find the eatery in between Murray and Hay streets in Hibernian Place.

Huxtaburger

Whether it’s brekky, noon or dinner, there’s a burger waiting for you here. The team have honed, refined and crafted their foodie knowledge and skills over decades make these burgers man-of-the-match material.

Goody Two’s

Inspired by the refined and cheeky underbelly of ‘after work’ culture in Japan, this quirky basement bar are smashing out whiskies, cocktails and izakaya-inspired snacks quicker than you can say ‘howzat!’.

Claisebrook Cove

Head down Royal Street towards Victoria Gardens, and you’ll find yourself at Claisebrook Cove. Here you’ll be able to kick back and relax on the waterfront, with an array of restaurants and cafes to tickle any taste bud.

The Partisan

Tuck into some creative Mediterranean cuisine, in a relaxed waterside terrace. There’s an all-day brunch available for the not-so-early birds.

Blackbird

A gorgeous little eatery will have you thinking you’re in France! Quirky décor, waterfront views and rustic European dishes will certainly fill your appetite for good food before a great match.

East Perth

On the outskirts of Claisebrook Cove, you’ll find Wassup Dog and Bight Tank Brewing nestled among the East Perth streets.

Wassup Dog

No sporting adventure is complete without a hot dog! In this case, flavour-filled gourmet hot dogs made from homemade sausages and fresh produce.

Bright Tank Brewing Co

A microbrewery and restaurant all in one. Match your craft beer to tasty, innovative food in this social, industrial space.

On the Point

A staple of any East Perth outing wouldn’t be complete without a visit to On the Point. Overlooking the Swan River, this location is perfect for a pre match drink and nibbles.

Embargo

With three bars, a stage and dance floor, plus access to a licensed jetty, Embargo will cater for your whole crew. You’ll have an almost 360degree view of the Swan River as you enjoy tunes and tasty meals.

The Point Bar & Grill

One of the city’s newest venues, this establishment features relaxed waterfront dining, plus a rooftop terrace. Soak up the view as you sip some drinks.
