Ho, ho, ho – Santa is back visiting the Hay Street Mall! Standing at over five meters tall, you won’t be able to miss him shining bright with over 10,000 lights.While you’re admiring the installations along Hay Street Mall, why not check out the array of stores to pick up some great gifts. You can find homewares and stocking fillers from West Elm, Potterybarn and T2. You’ll also find great streetwear stores with Culture Kings, Nike and Superdry.

St George’s Cathedral, Cathedral Square
They’re back and better than ever! Prepare to be captivated with animated projections that will light up the façade of this beautiful and historic building. Projections will feature a traditional nativity scene and snapshots from a classic Aussie Christmas Day. They will be sure to add an abundance of Christmas spirit to St Georges Terrace and are best viewed from 7.45pm, concluding at midnight. Music concludes at 10pm.20. Library Lights

Council House, 27 St Georges Terrace
A Christmas Lights Trail tradition out the front of the Council house! The family favourite mob of illuminated, festive kangaroos have found their way back into the city just in time for Christmas.
You’ll also notice some newcomers onto the trail with the Kids’ Christmas Decorations. Proudly sponsored by Visual Inspirations Australia, the young creative minds from Perth Children’s Hospital and Trinity College were invited to design their own Christmas Decorations. 3 winners were chosen and their creations have been turned into real-life street light decorations!
22. Council House Light Show
Council House, 27 St Georges Terrace
It’s all happening on St Georges Terrace! While admiring the mob of kangaroos on the lawn, you’ll be immersed into the illuminated light show and festivities lighting up Council House. From sunset onwards, you’ll be able to see a range of Christmas characters displayed on the iconic building. Which ones can you spot?
Wander down St Georges Terrace and you’ll find the newly opened Golden Boy and Jade Girl. Freshly opened this November, this venue features a ground-floor eatery and a roof-top bar up top.

Practice your best royal wave when you a take a seat in the back of this stunning carriage, fit for royalty!
24. Magical Swans | Presented by Elizabeth Quay
Elizabeth Quay, The Landing
Be enchanted by the family of swans who have made their way into the Elizabeth Quay inlet. Delight in their beauty and check out mother swan as she stands at five meters tall watching over her family.While you’re there, stay for a drink or dinner at one of the many bars and restaurants overlooking the river. Enjoy gourmet burgers at V Burger Bar, dinner and drinks at Lucky Shag and finish off the night by enjoying an ice cream for desert at Gusto Gelato.
Or take a twilight cruise with the Little Ferry Co along the water to see the city lights and magnificent spectacle of Elizabeth Quay by night. You’re bound to see a few lights trail stops on your ride.

Appearing for the first time ever, discover the specially designed 14-metre tall Poinsettia Christmas Tree of Joy.
