With warmer weather and more frequent visits from the sun, Matilda Bay is a must for your activities these school holidays. Whether the kids play on the grass, amongst the sand or paddle in the water, they will b e able to burn some of that never-ending energy. Matilda Bay is also the perfect picnic spot with our city skyline in view and the swan river at your feet, you might even spot a few black swans coasting along the water – our state bird!

If your little one is adventurous, take to the water and visit SUP Central which is located right on Matilda Bay (SUP standing for ‘stand up paddle’). For the first timers, lessons are a great way to get started along with the help of qualified instructors. While those who are more acquainted with water activities can hire out not only a paddle board, a water-mat, kayak or even a super SUP which fits 4 – 8 people on at once!

While you’re amongst the waterside, continue to enjoy the view and tuck into some delicious at Cooee. This venue is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with an incredible menu for the kids no matter what time of day you stop by. This means that smashed avo on toast comes in an adult size and a kids size – too cute!
