You can get to Northbridge from Perth Train Station by walking through Yagan Square, or you can hop on the free Blue CAT bus which goes to Northbridge Piazza. There’s also free CPP parking options at Perth Cultural Centre and other CPP offers on Roe Street and William Street.
The Northbridge Lights Trail starts (or finishes, whichever you like) at the WA Museum, James Street, trailing all the way through to the Perth Train Station.

WA Museum Boola Bardip, James Street Mall
At the first stop, experience the Rusty Holden Ute right out of the classic Aussie Christmas jingle, which has parked itself directly outside the new WA Museum Boola Bardip. The new museum opens to the public on 21 November; if you were lucky enough to get tickets head to their website for a full listing of what’s on offer.
2 CHEEKY COCKATOO presented by Perth Cultural Centre
Perth Cultural Centre, James Street Mall
Second stop is the Cheeky Cockatoo. Say hello and get a photo with the Cheeky Cockatoo that’s perched on a branch in the heart of the Perth Cultural Centre. There are always plenty of events and exhibitions at the Perth Cultural Centre, be sure to stop by while checking out the Trail.
4 REINDEER PLAYGROUND presented by Kings Square
Kings Square, Kings Street
Fourth stop, the Reindeer Playground, is a fun one for the kids! When Santa’s Sleigh is not in the night sky, his reindeers like to rest and play at Kings Square! Come and say hi to three of his favourites; Rudolph, Vixen and Cupid. Climb aboard these three-metre long, illuminated reindeer and snap a fun Christmas photo for the ‘gram.
5 CONSTELLATION TUNNEL presented by Yagan Square
Yagan Square, William Street Mall
Final stop for the Northbridge Trail is the stunning Constellation Tunnel in William Street Mall, at Yagan Square. Enjoy an immersive music and light show under a constellation of 16,000 lights. The 32 metre long tunnel connecting the city and Northbridge creates the ultimate Christmas-themed sensory experience and is always a fan favourite.
While you’re in Northbridge it’s the perfect opportunity for some retail therapy. You’ll discover an abundance of stylish boutiques along William Street stocking unique bits and bobs for stocking stuffers and vintage finds to lift your gifting game. Who says you can’t buy your own Christmas gift?
Plus, check out Yagan Square for vibrant pop-up events and entertainment while on your way to the next stops along the trail!
